Introducing our New Director of Operations
Dear CSC Club Members,
We have some exciting news to pass onto our membership. We are pleased to announce that a new Director of Operations will be joining the Club on April 1 of this year. His name is Ben Ferreira, and he will be leaving his coaching position at Ice Palace Figure Skating Club where he has been working with Ravi Walia. Ben and his wife Jadene will be leaving the Edmonton area after almost 15 years and are excited to come out to Coquitlam. Jadene will be assisting the club with off ice performance training and will be making her choreography services available to the skaters and coaches in the club. For those who do not know Ben and his wife Jadene, here is a brief introduction:
Ben:
Nationally certified coach
3 time Canadian World Team member
7 Time National Team member
Worked with many of the top skaters in Alberta including World Champion Kaetlyn Osmond
Former Head Professional at the Royal Glenora Club in Edmonton
Jadene:
National level Choreographer
Recipient of 2018 Coaching Achievement Award – highest honor for a coach from Skate Canada
Extensive Dance training background that is incorporated in her classes and choreography
One of the most sought after performance coaches in North America.
Ben and Jadene together also co-own “Skating Success” which provides world class skating seminars and skating sessions for athletes and coaches. Together we feel that the addition of Ben and Jadene will further compliment the hard work that our current coaching staff have done to make our club one of the top in the province. Ben and Jaden also wanted to include a special message to our members:
“Jadene and I are very excited to support the Coquitlam Skating Club Coaches, Skaters, and Parents as we transition into a new season.
We also look forward to living in our new home in Beautiful British Columbia.
Thank you for making us feel so welcome.
Ben & Jadene Ferreira”
We look forward to welcoming them to our skating community and are excited to be able to share this news with our membership.
Sincerely,
The Coquitlam Skating Club Board of Directors
